I noticed there are no sites in Arizona.
Are you aware of somewhere in Arizona that I can donate to?

  2. Kim

I am sitting here reading People which is why I logged on, is there a specific location that things can be sent to for Michael Cunningham and Leandra Holloway? I have a son and daughter the same age and have so many unused items.

I read this story today and i was heartbroken. it is horrible to see ANY children homeless. if there is a way i would like to help out Corey Gummels. please let me know if there is anything that i am able to do.

  4. Alma Pooler

This subject has always weighed heavy on my heart. I raised my daughter alone for 15 years and if it were not for the help of kind people and family we may have been homeless. I see these kids and my heart breaks because what if it were my daughter?

How do I help Kristin Barbeau and her baby girl get off the streets?

  6. Laura

I first saw this story in People magazine and have been searching for it for hours because I lost the magazine and it touched me so much. Im 19 and I live only a town away from Newark. I cant imagine what it would be like if I was alone or had gone through what these young adults have gone through. I want to help. Anything.. what can I do?

  7. Leonard

Is there any way that I can do something specifically to help Corey Gummels?

  8. Vanessa

I read people and I felt I needed to check out this website. I do not think that there is a shelter near me that I can visit. Well not that I know of. That article just touched me and I would really like to help.

Kristin Barbeau at the age of 19 has a full life ahead of her. can i please ask what kind of father abandons a child and mother of HIS kid? and second where are the parents in her life? but all in all i would really like nothing more than to help her get back on her feet.

I finished my Foster Parent training and got my “certificate” in February. I am still waiting for a foster child. I thought that by now (June) I would certainly have someone.

I am raising my granddaughter (she is 11) and would like another little girl. We live in a beautiful area, across from a beach and lake, a perfect place to raise a child.

I just stumbled across the article in People and to my suprise I find my own son is listed within your article. I am very disturbed that your services aren’t going to people who REALLY are in need…. My son has opted to continue to live in the situation he is in by choice. He has a loving home, with a loving mother who has provided him with everything he needs. I just can’t help but wonder who is out there, on the STREETS, needing your services, help, and love that has no one to turn to.

My heart reached for Brittany Ward-How can we get ahold of her? I was wanting to to give encouragement and if there are certain things we can assist in helping her to continue strong, especially with her path with the Lord.
I will pray for her but if she could please email us.
    Love in Christ,
    Faith

  17. Chris Barbeau

I don’t know if she’ll see this or not…but this is Kristen “Cupcake”‘s brother Chris…I had no idea things were this bad for you…you should have called…you always have a place to stay in North Carolina.

    this is for ALMA POOLER-
Corey Gummels currently goes to Ladue Highschool in St. Louis.

Corey Gummels is not and has never been homeless. He is an old friend who always has had the option of going home. He lived with me for awhile but always had a choice of places to live, including with family. I cannot believe this wasnt researched more thouroghly.

My husband and I are currently attending the workshops to foster/adopt in Texas. Our family is wanting to adopt an older child out of the foster care system. If you want to help a child avoid situations as these kids have faced look into the programs that these kids are a part of. If you have room in your home and in your heart than these kids need you. Look into volunteering with the agencies that help these kids. A little kindness goes a long way. Check out this website http://www.dfps.state.tx.us/Adoption_and_Foster_Care/Why_Not_Me/default.asp .
