She is the co-founder of the non profit organization, The Heart Gallery of New Jersey, where she brought together more than 150 world class photographers to photograph hundreds of orphans in an effort to publicize their plight for adoption. In 2005 ABC news with Peter Jennings named Ms. Feanny and the Heart Gallery photographers the “Person of the Week” and the organization has garnered world wide press coverage. In 2008 she was awarded both the Russ Berrie Award for Unsung Heroes and the Angel in Adoption award from the U.S. Congress' adoption caucus.
Najlah is a former Newsweek Magazine contract photographer. She currently has six photographs on display in the permanent collection of the William Jefferson Clinton Presidential Library. ">
